Tips on Finding a Quality Used Car on the Internet

When you are looking to buy a car on the internet, there are tons of things to think about. What year the car was made in? How many miles does the car have on it? Are the tires new or old? Do the brakes work good? Is the paint in good shape? Has the car ever benn in a wreck? Things like this are crucial in the used car buying process.

- If the seller does not mention anything about the questions above, or shows no picture of the car, try e-mailing them if their adress is given. If they refuse to do that or do not give accurate information, I suggest moving on to the next car, because you just do not know what that one will be like.

- See if the car is being sold by an owner or by a dealership. eBay and Craigslist have options to filter out the cars sold by the owner if you only trust a true car dealership.

- Make sure car doesn't have an obscene amount of miles on it, and especially if the car is only a couple years old. The more miles a car has, the more the car was used, and if you want your used car to be as new as possible, find one with low miles.

- Did the previous owner smoke? If you cannot stand the smell of cigartte smoke, then do not buy a car that was smoked in every day. The smell of cigarette smoke will never go away.

- Is the interior in good shape? If the seats are leather is the leather in decent shape as far as scrathes and cracking go? If they aren't leather, do they have stains or are they ripped? Look at the dashboard if any pictures are avalible and see if it is clean and scratch free.
